Hospice Income Generation Network
The Hospice Income Generation Network, an organisation that encourages collaboration and sharing of resources for hospices across the UK, is offering a year’s free membership.
Many hospices, including St Barnabas Hospice in Lincolnshire and St Christopher’s Hospice, London are members and work together to facilitate the sharing of experiences and knowledge of members and industry professionals.
Chair of the organisation, Christine Davies of St Christopher’s Hospice, said: “We are delighted to announce free membership this year for all hospice income generators across the UK. This has been funded in part by Mark Watson’s ‘Watsonathon’, a 24-hour online comedy show, and the rest through the Hospice Income Generation Network reserves.
“We’d like to give special thanks to Mark Watson for choosing the Hospice Income Generation Network to benefit from his mammoth fundraising event.”
Vice-Chair, Veronica McBain said: “I feel honoured to be part of this forward-thinking organisation, run by volunteers from across the Hospice Movement. We have a united goal and mission as the Hospice Income Generation Network, to support all hospice income generators with access to expert training and networking opportunities so they can generate the income their hospices need both now, and in the future.
“Hospices are different to any other kind of charity – we are part of the local community, our supporters really feel like they belong and we have a sensitivity to death and dying that few other charities can relate to.”
“This year, more than ever, it is absolutely vital that we share our ideas. None of us know what the future holds, so bringing our ideas together will be beneficial to all. The pandemic has changed our direction from physical events and has led us to focus much more on virtual activities, social media awareness, and digital marketing.”
Membership of the Hospice Income Generation Network provides access to free training days, webinars, and networking. This is to inspire more hospices to unite together and get through the current social restrictions we are undergoing in the wake of COVID-19.
