As part of #OVOGivesBack month, on Saturday, 13th August,  a group of volunteers from OVO Energy gave their time to help the Forest of Avon trust take care of woodland near Upton Cheyney, South Gloucestershire.

There were plenty of jobs to do, and all involved getting outside in a beautiful natural environment.

The wildlife pond was cleared, scrub and brambles were removed, guards were removed from some of the older trees and measures taken to stop ash die-back spread.

It was a great opportunity to walk around the wood and take it all in! Tasks were shared around and rotated so everyone got a chance to do everything.
