Julia’s House supports the families of children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in Dorset and Wiltshire. Time is short for these children, so every moment is precious. We aim to create happy memories for our families, no matter how short their time together may be.
Our lifeline of care provides comfort and reassurance to anxious and exhausted parents. Regular respite support, plus emergency and end-of-life care, is provided completely free to families thanks to the generosity of people like you. Julia’s House relies on public donations, fundraising and legacies for 95 per cent of the money needed to run its vital service.
Every family supported by Julia’s House receives totally bespoke care. Parents choose when, where and how they receive their care – at home, in the community or at one of the charity’s two hospices - making it a truly flexible service. We are there for the whole family, not just the sick child, providing emotional support and social opportunities for parents, grandparents and siblings to help break the cycle of isolation that can impact family life.
One in four of the children we care for are supported by legacies, and leaving a gift of just 1% in your Will can make a life-changing difference to the families who rely on us. We are happy to answer any questions informally and in confidence, and to tell you more about how your gift could help.
