Striving for equality through tennis

Tennis2Be is a sports and education charity using tennis as vehicle to bring communities together, whilst making tennis an inclusive and accessible sport. The charity actively encourage social interaction, well-being and happiness on a “level court” through tennis and beyond.

Tennis2Be's educational arm provides bookkeeping and accounting services, business startup help, literacy, numeracy and social media. They train users and disabled young people in these disciplines and provide work experience for them within the charity.

Beginners course

These players are affectionately known as the BOUNCIES

This course caters for those who have never played tennis before. This player has a lot of passion for tennis with limited on-court experience and is still working primarily on keeping the ball in play. The player can sustain a short rally of a slow pace with other players of the same ability. ot comfortable with all strokes and lacks execution when trying for directional control.

Courses cater for adults (all levels), toddlers, children, disabled (young people and adults)

Volunteer spotlight

Gerel hails from Mongolia and supports the charity with bookkeeping duties. This helps with added experience in her current Accounting and Finance studies. The role has helped to increase her confidence and improve her English.
