LONDON, 4TH MAY. World-renowned photographers Catherine Hyland and Ian Howorth lead a stellar line-up of photographers participating in a print sale to raise much-needed funds for Refuge, a charity working to support women and children who are affected by domestic abuse and are at increasing risk during the Covid-19 lockdown period.

The initiative, The Print Assembly founded by ever-passionate Kim Pappas and Emma Hayes of the innovative photographic agency Process has curated an unprecedented collection of exceptional contemporary images that will become prized possessions for their new owners, adding to their homes the finest-quality art and granting each buyer the added joy of knowing its purchase has helped those in most desperate need.

Sandra Horley, Chief Executive of Refuge said: "Last year 1.6 million women in the UK suffered from domestic abuse. Reports from around the world show that the Covid-19 global pandemic has led to increases in domestic abuse incidents due to the periods of isolation and lockdown. Self-isolation has the potential to aggravate pre-existing behaviours by perpetrators and can make it more challenging for women to report and seek support. Experts are warning that the coronavirus outbreak will lead to a 'domestic abuse pandemic.' "

The prints have been donated by a brilliant network of 102 emerging, represented, commercial and award-winning photographers across the UK photographic community, including highly-recognised and respected industry professionals such as Sophie Ebrard, Polly Penrose, Sarah M Lee, Simon Roberts, Dougie Wallace and Nick Meek.

Each image is available for sale as a non-edition A3 print on www.theprintassembly.com where they can be purchased for £50, having been beautifully printed by MPrint leading printing specialists in London. Offering such phenomenal, high-quality work at this affordable price, the initiative presents a rare yet inclusive opportunity to own prints by some of the industry's greatest photographers. Prints that are made even more valuable by the cause they represent, with all profits going to Refuge.

This highly-anticipated print sale will run for a limited period of 10 days only, until the 13th of May, and is not to be missed. The calibre of work donated, combined with the efforts of the wider photographic community involved, position this initiative to generate an overwhelming amount of financial support to Refuge
