Northern Learning Trust exists to improve the lives of disadvantaged people and communities through learning. We provide intensive education and support, building the confidence and skills that enable people to find their own solutions to problems. We aim to raise aspiration, narrow the attainment gap and reduce inequalities between disadvantaged people and their more affluent peers, helping them make sustainable changes that have a positive long-term impact.
We specialise in engaging and supporting those with the furthest distance to travel, who have been left behind by mainstream education. We see the potential in people rather than their barriers or problems and help them to recognise and build on the skills and qualities they have, so that they can improve their lives and those of their families and communities.
