“If it wasn’t for KAB I’d shut myself away.” Can you imagine how isolated you’d feel if you lost your sight? How scared you’d be to go to a busy shopping centre? How frightening even crossing the road could become? Every day 100 people in the UK begin to lose their sight – it could be any one of us. But losing your sight doesn’t have to mean changing your lifestyle. KAB’s mission is to support sight-impaired people to lead independent lives – a mission we cannot achieve without your help. Through rehabilitation workers, clubs and volunteers, KAB can provide advice, friendship, practical equipment and training to improve quality of life. For further information, to request a fundraising pack or make a donation, please contact us. Remembering KAB in your will WILL truly make a difference to the lives of the many thousands who are blind, partially-sighted or deafblind in our region.
