To fulfil this aim, GENCAD work in partnership with locally based Community organisations, leaders and institutions on projects which have strong poverty alleviation objectives, such as: education; skills training; health care provisions among others.
We strive to empower the most vulnerable and needy section of the communities we work with so that they become agents of their own development.
GENCAD International is currently working in Mandera County which is situated in the former North Eastern Province of Kenya. Our relationship with the beneficiary communities is central to our success. We take this relationship seriously by designing and implementing projects with and notfor local the communities.
In addition, our projects have attracted a high level of volunteer participation on the part of village residents and decision-makers.
We work with local partners in assessing their needs and target assistance to the most deserving projects with a strong poverty alleviation component. This way we are able to maximise resource allocation and increase the number of beneficiaries.
