Cerebral Palsy Midlands is a Birmingham based charity that has supported people with cerebral palsy and other related disabilities since 1947.
We strive to empower people in their everyday lives, to promote independence and for people to make their own choices. We support people in developing their talents and skills, regardless of disability, and gining fulfilment through achievement.
Our main work is providing services to adults over the age of 19, in daycare, training in life skills (cooking, health, wellbeing, literacy, numeracy and IT, for example), Art, Music, plus other worthwhile enrichment activities and social events. We have a monthly social club called Pathfinders, and we also organise short break holidays throughout the year.
We also have an informed advocacy and advice and advice service called URconnectABLE. We support people and their families and carers with many issues, such as accessing supported/independent living, rightful benefit applications, care planning and accessing services.
