CCECH UK, also known as In Harmony, supports the co-existence work in Israel of CCECH which brings together Jewish and Arab (Christian and Moslem) children, their schools and families. Normally, Jewish children do not meet Arab children (and, of course, vice versa). Working with matched Jewish and Arab schools, CCECH runs innovative education programmes that, by using folklore based methods, create a climate which is conducive to such meetings. Further, by involving the schools and the families of the children, the schools make contact with each other as do the families and thus communities meet over several years. Further, because of the methods adopted, both the Arab and Jewish children are brought into contact with their own families and learn as much about their own backgrounds and as they do about the others'.
CCECH (the Centre for Creativity in Education and Cultural Heritage) is a non-profit charitable organisation founded in Israel in 1991.
