Field Lane is a registered social care charity and housing association, which, from its Christian heritage, provides a unique combination of care, accommodation and support to older people, adults with learning disabilities and vulnerable families and children

We provide safe, caring, innovative and individualised solutions in our sheltered accommodation, intensively supported housing, and residential family support centre.

Our person centred support helps those in our care to realise their own potential whatever their circumstances. Our innovative methods and our high standards are highly regarded by specialists and national bodies. Good accommodation and 24-hour support from well qualified staff are the main features of our schemes.

As part of our commitment to promoting high standards of care we also offer training and management services.

Our background

Field Lane has put people before profit since 1841. And, as in the past, we are thankful for the generosity of individual supporters, charitable Trusts, legacies and other non statutory sources of funding that enable our charitable works to continue.

Our care and support services are provided for people who are frail or have a learning disability or need some additional support to meet their hopes and aspirations.

Currently 75% of the people that we help would not be able to pay for care by themselves and 96p of every pound of our income is spent on direct charitable services.

The Christian heritage is one which is valued and practiced, for example, all board and committee meetings open with prayer. But Field Lane is not an evangelising organisation. It does though try to work with a Christian understanding of society and the uniqueness and preciousness to God of individuals within it. Field Lane was called into being to be with people who are marginalised or at risk through age or disability of being isolated and excluded.

The way in which the work of care and support is planned and delivered reflects these principles.
