The Severn Area Rescue Association is the Largest multi disciplined rescue organisation in the UK, and the Second Largest Lifeboat rescue service to the RNLI. We receive no government funding, or support from the RNLI, and rely solely on donations from the public and companies.

We provide 24hr assistance 365 days a year to support the police, fire service and coastguard to save lives in the Severn Valley, Wye Valley and further a field. Apart from our lifeboats and inshore rescue boats, we have specialist teams in Swift Water Rescue, Rope Rescue, land Search and rescue and casualty care.

We have stations in Tewkesbury, Kidderminster, Sharpness and Beachley (Chepstow), with sattelite units based in Newport and Gloucester. 

We can not continue our work without generous donations and support from our community, and of course the support and understanding of our families whom we sometimes leave at the beep of the pager!
