The National Trust was set up to look after the places we’d be lost without. We’re here to keep special places safe for everyone to enjoy throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Without gifts in wills the National Trust wouldn’t be able to protect and look after all the places in our care: over 500 historic houses, castles, ancient monuments, gardens, parks and nature reserves; 778 miles of coastline; over 248,000 hectares of land, and one of the world’s largest art collections. We also care for the environment, food and farming, and green energy and transport.

Gifts in wills are used right at the heart of our work; any gift, no matter how large or small, makes a lasting difference. You could even choose to leave your gift to the place that matters most to you. Every penny goes directly to conservation, so you can help to keep these special places safe for memories yet to be made.
