The celebrations for KidsOut’s 25^th Anniversary kicked off at the famous BT Tower in London.  Over 80 KidsOut supporters came together to take in the breath-taking views, enjoy the delicious three-course meal and take part in the raffle and auction.

Helen Pitcher, the Chair of KidsOut, spoke about the enormous impact KidsOut has had over the last 25 years, including the achievement of helping over 600,000 children through our various services!  The guests were also treated to a showing of a video of the first ever “Big Day Out” from 1990.  Apart from some interesting haircuts and fashion sense, the video exemplified the principles on which the charity was founded; namely, bringing fun and happiness into the lives of the children that we support.  The video also showed just how much the charity has grown and developed in the intervening years.

As well as being a fantastic celebration of the charity, the event raised over £16,000!  This was due to the generosity of guests in the auction and the raffle, as well as buying limited-edition 25^th Anniversary KidsOut cuddly monkeys!

In addition to the guests, we would like to thank Lynette Eastman, Fiona Rodford and Susan Dudley for organising the event, all of the attendees for being so generous, and Helen Pitcher for speaking so passionately about our amazing charity.
