Hughes syndrome is a medical condition in which there is a tendency for the blood to clot. It causes migraines, memory loss, dizziness, strokes, heart attacks, and blood clots in the arms/legs and lungs - all of which are potentially fatal. It is also the leading treatable cause of recurrent miscarriage and other pregnancy problems including pre-eclampsia and still birth. The HSF aims to save and improve the lives of those affected by Hughes syndrome by achieving earlier diagnosis and improved treatment for patients.
