Gurkhas living with dignity

Leave a gift in your Will

We all share an unbreakable bond with the Gurkhas.

For over 200 years, the Gurkhas have stood alongside us – having taken a vow to defend Britain. Whether in the desert or the jungle, the trenches or the beaches, they have fought with us to defend our shared values of freedom and justice.

Our brave Gurkha veterans and widows are getting older. Many have complex medical needs and live in desperately impoverished communities. Thanks to your generous support, our Welfare teams support them to spend the rest of their lives in dignity, not hardship.

Now you can make sure that bond lives on – even after you are no longer here.

With a gift in your Will, your commitment to Gurkha pensioners can continue in the years and decades to come. It’s a wonderful way to ensure the values that you have treasured throughout your life can live on, even when you’ve gone.

Your gift will give Gurkha pensioners the peace of mind they so deserve – to know that their loved ones will be supported long after they’ve gone. What finer debt of honour to repay these brave men who fought for the security we all enjoy today?

Make a Pledge

Gifts left in wills are really important to The Gurkha Welfare Trust. However even if you haven't made a will, making a pledge to do so in the future would really help us to find out about your future intentions.

Pledges are not legally binding so by filling out this form you are not committing yourself! You are simply allowing The Gurkha Welfare Trust to confidently estimate future support for their cause.

Leave a Legacy

If you have already made a will but you want to leave a legacy to a charity you can make an addition or change it without re-writing your current will. This addition is called a codicil.

To leave a legacy to The Gurkha Welfare Trust please download the codicil form below and take it along to your solicitor.

Please note however that this form is not legally binding on its own and has to be part of your main will. We advise you to seek the advice of a solicitor.

If you have any questions about leaving a legacy to us, please contact The Gurkha Welfare Trust directly – they will be happy to discuss this with you.
