Friends of Rosie Children's Cancer Research Fund

Registered Charity Number: 1046278
Manchester, Greater Manchester

When five-year-old Rosie Larkin from Cheshire died in 1991, after a courageous 11-month battle with cancer, her family and friends were inspired to try to help conquer childhood cancer. They founded the charity, run entirely by volunteers, to raise funds in her memory for research into children's cancer. We have raised £1.5 million in fifteen years, funding research projects at Manchester University, the Paterson Institute and the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. The NW has an unrivalled reputation in the investigation, treatment and follow-up of children with cancer. One of the very few UK charities solely to support research into childhood cancer, we are grateful for donations and bequests to help continue and expand this valuable work.
