Love and support continue to flow into Manchester following the horrific attack on the 22nd May. If you are wondering how you can help, there is a charitable fund which has been initiated to support the victims and their families.
The We Love Manchester Emergency Fund has been set up by the Manchester City Council and British Red Cross. It’s raised over £4million so far and will support people who have been injured or bereaved by the attack. Donations will help alleviate suffering and ensure victims and their families do not face short-term financial difficulties.
This fund is supported and endorsed by the charity commission as a safe and secure way to donate to the families of the victims.
Mike Adamson, chief executive of the British Red Cross said:
“We have been moved by the compassionate response to this appeal for victims and their families. People from communities across the U.K. and right around the world are showing their solidarity by donating. The money raised will contribute to those affected by this terrible attack getting the help that they need today, tomorrow and into the future.”
