Damon Hill Karting Challenge

Date Posted: 25 Jun 2014

On Wednesday, 25th June 2014 halow's ever popular DHKC took place at Daytona Motorsport, Sandown Park.

This year we were delighted to welcome our Bronze Sponsor, Infinity Creative Media. We had 34 teams of drivers from London & Surrey based firms and businesses. “The Champ” Damon Hill OBE was joined by Alexander Rossi of EQ8 Caterham Racing GP2 and Caterham F1 Team, Jack Clarke from the Dunlop BTCC and Ollie Millroy GT racing driver for AAI Motorsports. Together they formed Damon's Allstars!

Now in its third year, this fast paced charity event proved to be extremely successful. Teams of up to five drivers took part in a Le Mans style 2.5hr endurance race, enjoying the thrill of the drive. The camaraderie of the event was clear and helped raised much needed funds to support young people with a learning disability. (Please check back here to find out just how much was raised on the day.)

If the racing wasn't exciting enough the #DHKC2014 had a massage station, racing simulator from Classic Race Simulators, a bar and amazing food.

To top it all off there was a fun packed auction with F1 Grand Prix tickets, signed racing memorbilia, dining experiences and much more! Thanks to auctioneer Mark Head for working the crowd.  Commentary was provided by the hilarious & captivating Bryn Lucas who we hope to work with again. Thanks to him for entertaining the crowd.

Our huge thanks go to our partners & sponsors of the event, all the teams for taking part and all those who helped ensure the day ran smoothly. We couldn't do it without your continued support and are looking forward to next years event.

This year the event raised an impressive £17,000 for young people with learning disabilities!
