We consider applications from ladies:

• Aged 50 years or over, living alone or with family and who have been resident in Scotland for at least two years
• Who are unmarried, widowed, divorced or formally separated
• Whose Income from all sources, including disability payments, does not exceed £10,000 per annum (after deduction of Rent/Mortgage, Council Tax and care costs)
• Whose Savings/Capital does not exceed £16,000 (excluding value of lady’s home)
• Who can show evidence of voluntary or community work; consideration for others; personal achievement in their own life or looking after family members who required care

Help awarded to successful applicants:

• Annual charitable payment of £1,320
• Regular visiting and support if appropriate
