Renew Counselling (formerly WHCM Counselling and Support) deals with some of the most challenging and disadvantaged children, adolescents and families in Essex and the East End of London.
Who we are:
Renew is a charity that helps children, young people and adults deal with mental and emotional health issues including physical and mental abuse, substance and alcohol abuse, problem family backgrounds, family break-ups, depression, bullying and, very importantly, disassociation and exclusion from education and training (so-called ‘NEETs’ – Not Engaged in Education or Training). By providing professional and affordable counselling we can help them to make a fresh start, re-enter education and become fulfilled and productive members of main-stream society.
Helping children to make the right start in life
Counsellors are involved in early intervention work with children and young people, offering one-to-one counselling, art and play therapy in many schools and at our centres in Basildon, Plaistow and Chelmsford.
Young Peoples Counselling:
Supporting young people who feel ‘unloved’
We help young people who feel depressed, anxious, angry or even suicidal.
We also offer:
Giving confidence and hope
Helping adults gain a clearer understanding of themselves and life situations through counselling and long-term psychotherapy services resulting in them leading more satisfying lives.
Identifying and resolving issues of communication, roles, responsibilities, conflicts and other concerns.
