Advancing veterinary care for the benefit of animals
Registered Charity Number: 230886
Help animals by helping us to help vets
Much of our income comes from legacy gifts. This crucial support allows us to make sure that the best and latest science in animal health improves the treatment and care that vets and vet nurses give our non-human companions.
Legacy gifts enable us to:
- play a leading role in continuously improving the quality of animal healthcare
- publish the latest evidence on treatments, diseases and their diagnoses in our journal, Veterinary Evidence
- provide the only specialist library available to practising veterinary surgeons and nurses in the UK, supplying them with essential literature and information on all aspects of animal health
- restore and digitise the RCVS's historical collections, bringing the learnings from the profession's past into its present.
Making a legacy to RCVS Knowledge is a powerful way to ensure that advances in veterinary care and knowledge benefit thousands of animals, long into the future.

Writing RCVS Knowledge into your will
Some advice on how to write a will, and wording to take to your solicitor if you want to leave a legacy to RCVS Knowledge.
Legacy information form
If you would like more advice or help about making or changing your Will, please fill in and send us this Legacy information form.
Make a Pledge
Gifts left in wills are really important to RCVS Knowledge. However even if you haven't made a will, making a pledge to do so in the future would really help us to find out about your future intentions.
Pledges are not legally binding so by filling out this form you are not committing yourself! You are simply allowing RCVS Knowledge to confidently estimate future support for their cause.
Leave a Legacy
If you have already made a will but you want to leave a legacy to a charity you can make an addition or change it without re-writing your current will. This addition is called a codicil.
To leave a legacy to RCVS Knowledge please download the codicil form below and take it along to your solicitor.
Please note however that this form is not legally binding on its own and has to be part of your main will. We advise you to seek the advice of a solicitor.
If you have any questions about leaving a legacy to us, please contact RCVS Knowledge directly – they will be happy to discuss this with you.
