It has been neglected for decades in terms of awareness and research funding and it's no wonder that survival rates for pancreatic cancer (currently only 5% survive 5 years) have not improved in nearly 50 years.

Tragically, most patients are diagnosed with late stage disease where surgery, the only potential for a cure, is not an option. And, pancreatic cancer, despite being the 5th biggest cancer killer in the UK, only receives 1% of overall research funding.
