Martha Trust began working with young people and adults with profound physical, and multiple learning, disabilities in 1987. Today, we look after 28 people at three homes in Kent and East Sussex, and we also help and support the families and carers of our residents.
Ever year we receive an increasing number of requests for residential and respite places; this is because more children with profound disabilities and complex health needs are reaching adulthood. It is for these people, aged 18 and upwards, that Martha Trust provides lifetime care.
We offer residential, respite and day care services at our purpose-built homes and we work hard to ensure that the atmosphere of each home is happy and stimulating for both residents and staff. As a Christian charity we help people regardless of faith or creed, and we firmly believe our residents are entitled to privacy, dignity and respect at all times.
