From time to time KidsOut welcomes students from the neighbouring sixth forms to pass their work experience in the charity. We are always pleased to meet these young people and share what we do, and we sincerely appreciate their time and dedication.

Two weeks ago Rama joined us to learn more about the inner workings of an office and the charity sector. Here are her thoughts on the experience.

My experience at KidsOut

“I went to Kidsout for a week for work experience and have learnt new skills that can help me in my future career. I have learnt new communication skills such as: sending letters and how to book an event on the phone. I now know what it takes to plan an event, and I know the things that are required to plan an event. I have learnt that charity does actually make a difference in people’s lives and it makes children happy to make them realise that people care for them. Overall I had good time in KidsOut, and I meet very nice people.”
