The charity endeavours to improve patient experience while being treated at one of our hospital or in our community. Our funds support areas of care not already covered by the NHS.
The charity is in place to improve the wellbeing and experience of our patients, and their families, while they are with us. The Trust takes into account all of our patients physical, mental, and social conditions in the treatment of their illness or injury and the charity supports this by funding many holistic items as well as specialist pieces of equipment to help to improve our services.
Donations can be made to a particular area of care such as Cancer Care (including Macmillan nurses), the Children’s Unit (including maternity and neonatal), the Stroke Unit, Coronary Care, Dementia and elderly care. We can support various departments, ie. Theatres and Outpatients, Rehabilitation and Research.
Particular pieces of medical equipment can be purchased such as respiratory monitors, bladder scanners and ECG Machines. Items such as reclining chairs, guest beds, tv/dvd’s and bladeless fans are always in constant demand.
The charity encompasses Russells Hall Acute Hospital, the Guest and Corbett Outpatient Centres and our local Community Services. We focus on Health and Wellbeing, Comfort and Care.
