Sutton Coldfield Stroke Club has been in existence for 35 years, supporting stroke survivors and their families.

We meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month from 10.30am to 3.15pm at a central Sutton venue and during that time the stroke survivors are offered physiotherapy and/or group speech therapy if that is required, as the NHS has limited resources for both of these therapies.

Members also take part in activities to stimulate the mind and the body eg. group exercises, craft, board games, jigsaws, quizzes, as well as enjoying the mutual support and companionship of other stroke survivors. We run almost entirely with a small team of dedicated volunteers but have to pay for professional support for some of the support we offer. Members pay to come and this fee includes a hot lunch and transport to and from the meeting. The club is held in high regard by health professionals and there is a desperate need for a club such as ours. We currently have around 50 members of all ages living within the Sutton boundary and just beyond.
