The Archbishop of Rwanda Most Rev. Onesphore Rwaje spent 5 days with Christian Hope International at the start of February. Our association with him goes back to the inception of the charity in 1994 when he was one of only two Bishops left in Rwanda following the genocide, at the time he was acting Archbishop.

The week started with a visit to South Woodham Ferrers Evangelical Church mums & toddlers group who, through our School Partners Project support a nursery school in the Archbishop's Diocese of Gasabo.

Two evening events at local churches followed when we were privileged to hear Rwaje speak on Matthew 14 verses 13 - 21. Attendance was encouraging and everyone enjoyed hearing a little about his life and the impact of our work in Rwanda.

An enjoyable morning was spent in the office meeting some of our volunteers and plenty of cake was consumed.

Altogether a wonderful privilege and encouragement to host our honoured guest.
