About Us
Children's Homes in India Trust (CHIT) is a dynamic little Christian charity, working in Andhra Pradesh, that takes in deprived children from broken homes, and provides a caring environment: food, health-care, clothing and education for 250 boys and girls from age 6 - 16.
We have space for 10 more but have to turn them away for lack of funds.
- £50 feeds a child for a year
- £200 provides for all their needs for a year
- £500 sees a child from abject poverty through college or nursing training school.
This is the way to break the cycle of poverty.
Many of our children become leaders in their own communities having learned to work hard, be honest and speak English.
Benefactors are welcome to visit our homes in India by arrangement.
95% of all money received goes to India for spending on the children.
Your gift can transform a child's life
