Beautiful book by leading photographer Tony McGee benefits the the Winnicott Foundation

Leading photographer, Tony McGee, has created a beautiful new book 'Swans and I Dream' with all proceeds going to the Winnicott Foundation.

The book showcases the beauty of the swan, featuring up close photographs that encapsulate the swans incredible power, construction and grace. Shot entirely by moonlight "Swans and I Dream" renders the unseen stillness and purity of each creature.

Tony commented "I am delighted to be able to share the beautiful photography through my new book, "Swans and I Dream". Swans are truly beautiful creatures and it was fascinating to be able to be able to watch them at night and capture true moments of grace. It is important that we are working with the Winnicott Foundation, an independent charity that works to improve care for premature and sick babies."

Tony McGee is a photographer and filmmaker, renowned for his energy and devotion to his work. He became a fashion photographer at the age of sixteen and by seventeen he had shot covers for Harper’s Bazaar, and Vogue. By the time he was twenty-one he had worked for most magazines around the world with more than forty covers to his credit as well as numerous advertising campaigns. He was later introduced to the world of rock and roll photography and worked with the likes of Roxy Music, David Bowie, Wham and Tina Turner. At the age of twenty-five he directed his first television commercial, winning gold at the Cannes Lions International Advertising and Film Festival. Following that success he went on to direct over two hundred and fifty commercials for television and cinema. McGee has worked constantly shooting for everyone from American Vogue and Elle to Rolling Stones Magazine and The Sunday Times.

Swans and I Dream is available from Waterstones and Amazon priced around £45 and all proceeds go to the Winnicott Foundation.

The profits from the book will support improved care and a better future for babies born premature or sick and cared for at St Mary’s and Queen Charlotte’s Hospitals.
