An Audience With Damon Hill- Certainly a Night to Remember

Date Posted: 08 Nov 2013

On the 7th November Claridges Hotel played host to wonderful charity night. The event, An Audience With Damon Hill, was in aid of the halow project, Down's Syndrome Association, Down Syndrome International and Boveridge House Trust.

Over 160 guests attended to hear Damon Hill OBE speak passionately and emotionally about his life. From his childhood to Formula One World Champion 1996, Damon enthralled the audience.

In 1989, Damon and Georgie Hill's first child Oliver was born with Down's syndrome.  Damon and Georgie turned to the Down's Syndrome Association for help and have both been active supporters ever since.  Damon and Georgie are both patrons of the Down's Syndrome Association and Down Syndrome International.  They also went on to play a signicant part in founding the halow project where Damon is Patron and Georgie is a Trustee.

The night proved an obvious success as Rupert Mass, from BBCs Antiques Roadshow, took to the stage for a charity auction and promoted the silent auction.

halow wants to thank everyone who attended, bid and donated on the night. It was an evening of glitz.
