One True Grit is a non-timed obstacle mud run. Littered with around 25 military inspired obstacles, the event is about getting muddy, having fun and raising money for your charity, with the added bonus of getting fit!
Designed and managed by the British Armed Forces the obstacles are both man-made and natural. You will have to run, climb, jump, wade, crawl and even swim through a course designed to challenge you both mentally and physically.
Since its inception in September 2013, One True Grit has raised over £28,000 for Prostate Cancer UK.
This year One True Grit is encouraging other charities to add the events to their calendar for a fun and innovative way of fundraising.
Based in Hertfordshire, the events are a fun day for the whole family, with live music, entertainment and hot food on offer. Each competitor will receive a finishers t-shirt, medal, digital photograph and some great products from various high profiled sponsors.
One True Grit has teamed up with The Fundraiser to offer a special discount rate for charities in 2016. Not only will charities receive 20% off when signing up their teams for this year’s event, but the charity who signs up the most participants will receive an additional donation from One True Grit after the event.
