With the unfailing support of our local community, Rowans Hospice has grown from strength to strength, developing and extending our services to include in-patient care, bereavement and psychological services, education and training programmes, Hospice and Home and therapeutic day care services.

Our newest venture, Rowans Living Well Centre, has given us the opportunity to expand the services we offer, including bespoke projects to support people with dementia, veterans approaching the end of life and cookery for people who have been bereaved, complementary and creative therapies, mindfulness and yoga to name just a few.

Rowans Hospice building has offered care and support to many thousands of families over the past 24 years. We are now taking a long hard look at not only our services, but how our building will work for us in the future.

Opening the Living Well Centre has brought into sharp focus the contrast between this new building and the older Hospice, which somehow has begun to lack lustre in comparison. The modern, contemporary architecture, interior design, use of light and energy efficient electrical and mechanical engineering illustrated just how much has changed and how our homely hospice is in need of a face lift.

The project is ambitious and extremely exciting. The total cost of our renovation project is £7.5 million.
