Olympic Torch Bearer Phil Craze takes on his second world record

Date Posted: 08 Aug 2012

Not content with smashing a British record, two world records and raising over £9,000 for charity during his 24 hour rowing marathon in April 2011, Phil Craze is taking on ANOTHER challenge of Olympic proportions.

On Friday 10th August, Phil and his colleague Fergus MacKay will attempt to beat the world record for rowing 100km in tandem in the over 30s category. Taking it in turn to row 1km each, Phil and Fergus will be aiming to row at a superhuman speed equivalent to 10mph to set them on course to beat the current record of 5 hours, 59 minutes and 6 seconds.
