The arctic conditions on Sunday morning didn’t stop our KidsOut runners donning their armour of warm clothing and shield of unparalleled motivation to battle their way through the 13.1-mile trek from Allianz Park, via Wembley Stadium, before finishing back to Allianz Park.

Twenty runners participated on behalf of KidsOut, including 9 members from The REC, 5 from Interr Security and 6 individual KidsOut supporters, joined more than 4000 other runners who were all raising funds for their chosen causes.  The marathon was started by Olympic star, Mo Farah, sounding the klaxon.  Mo proved to be incredibly popular with everyone who attended the event and our KidsOut ambassador couldn’t resist a quick selfie with the star either!  The weather may have been dull as they the runners took to the streets of North London but shining brightly in their fluorescent tops our team of KidsOut runners brought fun and happiness (and smiles) into those watching as well as helping to improve our aim to improve the lives of disadvantaged children across the UK.  All twenty runners completed the half-marathon challenge successfully with the honour of being the first to take part in this inaugural event. Having secured generous sponsors, they have raised over £3000 so far.
