A positive focus for those experiencing mental health difficulties and their support networks

The Guardian newspaper said that our work in acute care:

"enthusiastically uses patient insights to improve the practice and quality of inpatient mental healthcare and create a more empathetic and therapeutic space ... Its work is serious, yet never loses sight of the importance of fun, food and animals, amongst other things, in the delivery of good acute care.

And we offer a LOT more! Since 2004, Bright has been a positive focus for change for those experiencing mental health difficulties and their support networks. We have done  this by

  • Creating funky, transformational, user friendly resources.
  • Promoting a positive and appreciative culture.
  • Showcasing small changes that make big differences.
  • Assisting organisations with motivation and development

We are PROUD that our resources continue to be used to make things better and are so valued by those in sevices. Why not check them out for yourself! They are:

  1. Star Wards: Our resource for acute inpatient mental health care
  2. CAMHeleon: Our resource for Child and Adolescent Mental health wards
  3. Brief Encounters: Our resource for acute care staff in dealing with distressed patients.
  4. Wardipedia: Our encyclopaedic resource of good practice in acute mental health care.
  5. Ward Stars: Our resource for mental health support workers
  6. Marvellous Care: Our resource for mental health staff looking after patients with a learning disability in acute care.
  7. Animal Magic: Our resource promoting the therapeutic use of animals in mental health care.

(Links to all out resources can be found at

And we do ALL this for minimal costs and overheads as we have had glorious support from a number of funders and BAGS of good will and ideas from a fantastic range of staff and patients. Why not add yourself to that list by joining us or donating  today!

So join in, freak out, have fun, and help us make a BRIGHTER future for mental health.
