Help Save Lives. SADS UK is a cardiac charity aiming to prevent sudden cardiac death in apparently fit and healthy people. Our aim is to save lives by the wide distribution of ‘The Warning Signs’ prompting people who could be at risk from sudden death to seek specialist medical advice and receive treatment as appropriate. Every second counts when a person suffers a cardiac arrest so SADS UK provides defibrillators to schools, offices, sports and leisure clubs and extensively in the community.  Lives are being saved as a direct result of  defibrillators being readily available when a person suffers a cardiac arrest.

SADS UK provides information and support to people who have suffered a cardiac arrest and their families. The charity supports individuals living with life threatening cardiac conditions and support people who have been bereaved through a sudden and unexpected cardiac death.  In order to help prevent such tragedies SADS UK funds research into SADS (Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome) to better understand, identify and treat the complex conditions that can cause sudden death. Supporting research and providing support to people impacted by a potentially life-threatening cardiac condition or a sudden and unexpected cardiac death is a very important part of the work of the charity.

The sudden death of a child, young person or healthy adult is traumatic and devastating. It is so often the case that vibrant young people are taken away so suddenly by SADS.
