  • Public fundraising fell by £92 million in 2018/19, now worth £5.8 bn
  • Income generation from statutory sources proved challenging, falling by -14.8% and now at its lowest level for 6 years
  • The sector saw a 3% increase in income from charitable activities at just over £1 billion
  • Fundraising success stories included Great Ormond Street Hospital and OXFAM GB who both achieved record legacy income
  • Total fundraised income fell for 48% of the top 100 charities
  • Cancer Research UK and the National Trust increased their total income by over 20%
