The Gift of Hope

When the time comes to write or change your Will, making sure your family and friends are looked after should of course be your top priority. Once they’re taken care of, you might like to consider also giving some of the world’s most vulnerable children and young people the chance to make a better future for themselves. You could choose to make WeSeeHope a beneficiary of your Will.

In the communities we work with in Southern and Eastern Africa, blighted by extreme poverty, the majority of people don’t have Wills as we do. This means that when children and young people are bereaved, they usually aren’t protected by provisions made by their guardians. Orphaned and isolated children are often left with nowhere to live and no means to feed themselves, little chance to receive an education and no support to find solutions. WeSeeHope exists to support orphans and other vulnerable children living in extreme poverty in Southern and Eastern Africa. We work with local project partners to restore, protect, educate and equip these children sustainably. We see hope in them. We know that, given the opportunity, they have the potential to transform their own lives and create a better future for themselves, their communities and for Africa.

Whether or not you already have a Will, you will need to seek legal advice to make WeSeeHope a beneficiary. You may find our ‘Leaving a Legacy, Frequently Asked Questions’ document helpful.

If you would like to discuss leaving a legacy with our CEO Mark Glen, you can contact him by email on Mark@WeSeeHope.org.ukor telephone +44 (0) 203 651 1123. All conversations will be treated as confidential.

Make a Pledge

Gifts left in wills are really important to WeSeeHope (also known as HOPEHIV). However even if you haven't made a will, making a pledge to do so in the future would really help us to find out about your future intentions.

Pledges are not legally binding so by filling out this form you are not committing yourself! You are simply allowing WeSeeHope (also known as HOPEHIV) to confidently estimate future support for their cause.

Leave a Legacy

If you have already made a will but you want to leave a legacy to a charity you can make an addition or change it without re-writing your current will. This addition is called a codicil.

To leave a legacy to WeSeeHope (also known as HOPEHIV) please download the codicil form below and take it along to your solicitor.

Please note however that this form is not legally binding on its own and has to be part of your main will. We advise you to seek the advice of a solicitor.

If you have any questions about leaving a legacy to us, please contact WeSeeHope (also known as HOPEHIV) directly – they will be happy to discuss this with you.
