The Sunningdale Hope Trust

The Sunningdale Hope Trust is a registered charity set up to provide help and assistance to individuals and community organisations in Sunningdale, Sunninghill and Ascot and the surrounding areas. It brings together groups of similar minded people who give their time and skills, raising funds through sponsorship and organising events. The money generated is used to provide grants for individuals in need of financial assistance in the community or to support organisations managing projects which will enhance facilities and services for community use.

The Trust makes grants of up to £500 to individuals in financial need to pay for one off costs that, due to financial hardship, cannot be met. Alternatively the trustees may organise help from individuals in the community who will provide skills and time to help alleviate need. We work with other community organisations by providing grants of up to £1000 or by organising an event to raise larger sums of money to fund specific community project.

Funds are raised through community events such as Burns Suppers, Jazz Evenings, Musicals Theatre and Duathlon! The participants are from the local area and the events are open to everyone.

Sponsored events have included The Three Peaks Challenge, A Coast to Coast Walk where groups of committed individuals have endured the elements, giving their time and energy to take on challenging tasks.

The Trust is also supported by our Hundred, a group of individauls who get involved fundraising and make regular donations to the Trust.
