What is the Love halow Campaign?
Now in its second year, the Love halow Campaign will be running throughout February 2015. This is a chance for the public, schools and businesses to learn more about halow and help raise vital awareness for the young people with learning disabilities we support. We are asking for your help to spread the word and raise much needed funds for our work.
At halow we know how important it is for young people with a learning disability to get out and about, meet friends and make new ones, keep healthy and try new and exciting things. We have a variety of social activities for young people each month from bowling, sports and youth clubs to discos and theatre trips. These provide a great opportunity for people with learning disabilities to socialise, maintain friendship groups and improve their confidence in a fun, safe environment.
Our young people love the work we do and this month we celebrate that, highlight our work to new supporters and raise funds through our heart shaped lapel pins.
All money raised from the Love halow Campaign will go to funding life changing social activities and the young people's March Annual Party- the highlight of their social calender.
How can I get involved?
1. Take a box of our amazing lapel pins (pictured below) and help sell them in your office, school, pub or business throughout February. They are full colour and only £1.00 per badge. If you would like a box please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01483 447960
2. Join in online via Twitter, Facebook or email. Just send us a reason why you love halow preferably with a great picture like the ones below. Feel free to download a Love halow Campaign sign by clicking here. Then print it out, fill it in and send us a picture of you holding it. If you are using social media please remember to include #lovehalow and @halowproject so we can be sure to share your involvement.
3. Make a donation to our work and help our young people lead a full, happy and active social life:
£25.00- pays for a young person to attend a free taster session on one of our great social activities.
£50.00- helps fund an evening out for a young person supported by halow staff.
£100.00- helps fund a small group of young people to attend a theatre trip or local football match.
£500.00- help fund the halow Annual Party in March.
Any contribution you make to the halow project and our Love halow Campaign will help change the lives of young people with a learning disability. Please click here to make a donation.
