Leaving a lasting legacy
Why we need your help...
Every year more and more troubled adults and young people turn to Renew Counselling asking for help to cope with the devastating effects of mental or emotional problems in their lives.
Statistics confirm that the number of children and adults suffering the consequences of divorce and family breakdown is on the rise. Furthermore, the numbers of young people and adults living in poverty or being unemployed are on the increase also. The effect of these changes in Renew is clear: more people of all ages requiring more help to cope with whatever life throws at them.
Severe cuts in government and schools’ funding mean that every year Renew is receiving less money from statutory bodies. We are depending more and more on generous gifts from individuals and churches to meet the growing needs in local communities across East London and Essex.
By remembering Renew Counselling in your Will you will help to ensure that future generations of people struggling with mental and emotional health issues can access professional and affordable counselling that can help them to make a fresh start in their lives.
What to do next...
All gifts, regardless of size are greatly appreciated and will be acknowledged and honoured.
If you have already made your Will and want to include Renew Counselling, then ask your Solicitor about a Codicil (a legal document read in conjunction with your existing Will that amends it to include your additional request).
If you have not yet written a Will, then we suggest that you speak to a Solicitor.
If you have already included Renew Counselling in your Will, then please let us know so we can

Make a Pledge
Gifts left in wills are really important to Renew Counselling. However even if you haven't made a will, making a pledge to do so in the future would really help us to find out about your future intentions.
Pledges are not legally binding so by filling out this form you are not committing yourself! You are simply allowing Renew Counselling to confidently estimate future support for their cause.
Leave a Legacy
If you have already made a will but you want to leave a legacy to a charity you can make an addition or change it without re-writing your current will. This addition is called a codicil.
To leave a legacy to Renew Counselling please download the codicil form below and take it along to your solicitor.
Please note however that this form is not legally binding on its own and has to be part of your main will. We advise you to seek the advice of a solicitor.
If you have any questions about leaving a legacy to us, please contact Renew Counselling directly – they will be happy to discuss this with you.
