Snowdon 500

The idea of trying to find 500 people willing to climb Snowdon over 2 days in order to raise funds for Prostate Cancer research was the brainchild of a man called Matt Rannamets, who wanted to give something back to the doctors and researchers who were treating him for the disease. His idea proved successful - the event has since raised over 1 million pounds for the Prostate Cancer Research Centre. This will be the event's 10th anniversary so you can be assured of a well-organised and enjoyable day. You can join us as an individual, or register as a team and bring the whole family!
After signing in at the start point in front of the Royal Victoria Hotel you will be transported by free shuttle-bus to Pen Y Pass, where you will receive a pre-climb briefing, before setting off for the summit of Mt Snowdon via either the Pyg Track or the Miner's Track. After summitting at 3560ft you will descend via the Llanberis path all the way back to the hotel. We work closely with Snowdon Mountain Rescue to ensure your safety on the mountain. On your return you will be presented with a certificate to mark your achievement.
There is no minimum amount required to take part in the event but we suggest £250 pounds is an achievable target.
