We're looking for intrepid explorers to join our fight for every childhood. Are you ready for an adventure?

This night-time challenge leads trekkers across the beautiful and rugged landscapes of Snowdon, the highest mountain in England and Wales, by moonlight

Take on NSPCC's Snowdon Moonlight Challenge and conquer the highest mountain in Wales at night. This challenge will see you trekking through the day with our optional warm-up hike, resting in the evening and then waking up before midnight to start the trek to the summit of Mount Snowdon.  Trek through the night and experience the fantastic scenery as you approach the peak for a sunrise summit!

Please note, we are providing coach services from both London and Manchester to help you get to Snowdonia - spaces are limited and this can be reserved on the registration form.

Trek highlights

  • A two day,  21km trek to the top of Mount Snowdon
  • Trekking through the night, reaching the peak by sunrise
  • A well earned celebration brunch
  • Optional 'warm up' trek for those who arrive early on Saturday

How we'll support you

We'll be there to help you every step of the way. If you trek for us, you'll get:

  • your own exclusive NSPCC t-shirt
  • dedicated fundraising support and materials from our friendly team
  • helpful training advice
  • a dedicated Facebook page to chat to your team mates

Upon arrival to our NSPCC Village in Llanberis, we welcome you to Snowdonia and prepare ourselves for the challenge ahead. For those who arrive early afternoon, there is an opportunity to join our ‘warm up’ afternoon trek, which sees us trekking for around 2 hours to get our first glimpse of the fantastic scenery on offer. Everyone is welcome to join us for dinner while the sun sets across the NSPCC Village, before we then head to bed to rest up for the ‘real’ challenge ahead.

We register ourselves onto the challenge from midnight and have some ‘breakfast’ before switching our head torches and setting foot along the trail at 1am. After a tough climb by moonlight, we reach the summit of Snowdon and take in the fantastic scenery as the sun rises. We take some group photos to celebrate our success at the summit, and then head back down to the NSPCC Village for some well earned celebration brunch.
