Volunteer Collecting Tin Co-ordinator

Why we need you

We are looking for outgoing and proactive people with a good knowledge of their local community to help us raise money and awareness about Havens Hospices

What will I be doing?

Placing and emptying collecting tins in your local community

Keeping an accurate record of goblet locations and money collected from each tin

Banking the collected donations

Writing/giving certificates of thanks to supporters

Recruiting other goblet collectors and individuals to support Havens Hospices in your local community

Any other duties designated by the Area Leader

Undertaking any mandatory training which is in line with Havens Hospices policies and guidelines

What skills will I need?

Good knowledge of your local community

Outgoing, proactive and self-motivated

Good communication skills

Numerate with ability to keep accurate records

Good administration skills

Influencing and persuading skills

How much time do I need to commit?

As much or as little as you are able to give. As a volunteer you would be responsible for managing the hours that you give - the hours would be to suit your personal circumstances.

What support will I be given?

We will give you full induction and training on all aspects of this role

All appropriate materials to support your role including goblets, receipt book, record sheets, wraps, seals, thank you paper, certificates, identification and giro pay in book will be supplied by us

A dedicated Fundraising Named Contact will be available to give you continuous support, advice and guidance

Where will I be based?

Most of your work will involve being out and about representing the charity in your local community but you may need to carry out some tasks from home.

Volunteer Fundraising Groups

Why we need you

To support the Fundraising and Marketing Team by organising fundraising activities and

events to generate income for Havens Hospices, while raising awareness of Havens

Hospices in your local area.

What will I be doing?

Planning, organising and running fundraising activities /events within your local area

Giving short talks as appropriate to individuals and groups within your area to help raise awareness of our work and promote your own fundraising groups events and activities.

Creating appropriate promotional materials for your fundraising events

Communicating with your named contact in the fundraising team keeping them informed of your activities and any fundraising materials or support you may require

What skills will I develop?

Your confidence levels will increase and you will be able to communicate effectively and enthusiastically

You will develop a good knowledge of Havens Hospices and the services we provide

You will develop skills in presentation, marketing and event planning

How much time do I need to commit?

Each group decides what time they need to dedicate for their fundraising to be

successful. You will need to make a commitment as a group to the day and times you arrange your meetings.

What support will I be given?

You will be given an induction to the charity and provided with a named contact from the Fundraising Team who can answer any questions you may have about our work

You will receive a presentation about Havens Hospices and the services we provide

Written guidelines and fundraising material will be available to support your planning and fundraising events and activities

Your named contact will be on hand to provide you with further advice and support as needed
