Leave us a gift in your Will
Hope for the future for single parent families
Where we are going
One in four children is now raised in a single parent family. Single parenthood is part of the diversity of modern family life, and yet many parents who, despite difficult circumstances, do a brilliant job of raising their families on their own continue to face stigma, disadvantage and discrimination. The impact is stark Ė a child growing up in a single parent family in the UK is twice as likely to live in poverty as a child whose parents are still together.
Our vision is to create a society where single parents are valued and treated equally and fairly. You could be part of the journey by remembering us and the families we support in your Will.
How we will get there
Every day Gingerbread works towards achieving change by championing the voices and needs of single parent families and providing essential services like our Freephone helpline, supportive local groups and expert training courses.
How you could remember us
We rely on donations and gifts in Wills to continue our work providing help and practical support to single parent families. You donít have to be wealthy and a gift of any size means a lot to us and to the families we support. Whether itís a specific sum, an item or even one per cent of whatever is left after you have provided for your loved ones; your gift will make a difference to the lives of many single parents and their children.
It is very simple to leave us a gift in your Will. Make a Pledge
Gifts left in wills are really important to Gingerbread. However even if you haven't made a will, making a pledge to do so in the future would really help us to find out about your future intentions.
Pledges are not legally binding so by filling out this form you are not committing yourself! You are simply allowing Gingerbread to confidently estimate future support for their cause.
Leave a Legacy
If you have already made a will but you want to leave a legacy to a charity you can make an addition or change it without re-writing your current will. This addition is called a codicil.
To leave a legacy to Gingerbread please download the codicil form below and take it along to your solicitor.
Please note however that this form is not legally binding on its own and has to be part of your main will. We advise you to seek the advice of a solicitor.
If you have any questions about leaving a legacy to us, please contact Gingerbread directly Ė they will be happy to discuss this with you.
