My Profile

I lived with Table Mountain as the backdrop of my mother-city, but never once climbed it.  I've always hated heights and I always got nervous about doing hikes as a teenager when at school or youth groups.

So naturally at the age of 43, I've decided to climb 3 mountains in the UK in 24hours for the wonderful charity SEED, taking part in its organised National Three Peaks Challenge.

I would love for you to sponsor me and donate to the wonderful educational and community charity work that SEED does.

On 18 June 2017, during a 24hour period, I will be aiming to climb the tallest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales- a total of 26miles of walking and 10,000 feet of going up (and back down again!).

I will be climbing Ben Nevis in Scotland (1345m), Snowdon in Wales (1085m) and Scaffel Pike in England (975m)- all in a 24 hour period (including travel between the 3 mountains).
