Hi there. My name is Paul Bullock. I am 56 years old and currently run a small family business with my son Tim out of Totton, Hampshire. Until recently I was the Group Scout Leader for 4th New Forest North (Eling) sea scouts. Having led this group for over 18 years I have now decided to take on a different role within the group as Tim and I work to develop our business.
In 2001 we made a really big decision to fundraise towards a new building at Testwood lakes in Totton. The New Building and lake would play a major role in helping Youth and Disabilities to learn to sail, canoe and row in a safe environment. It was named Aquativity.
Twelve years on, although Aquativity has just recently been officially opened, the project still needs a further £20,000 to complete. Items include important things such a equipment and completion of the grounds and fencing outside.
Last November I had a heart attack when the building work was in full flow. I had to sit back and watch as the group worked extremely hard to continue to raise funds and do work on the centre to get it to where it is today.
I have been dedicated to helping the youth and disabled people of our community for many years now. Thankfully I have fully recovered from my heart attack and as part of my continued fitness programme felt that I would like to take on some charity fundraising. Where better to start than raising money to get this project completed.
On 21st July my wife Caroline and I will be taking on the Savernake Sizzler cycle challenge. All the money we raise will go towards the Aquativity project.
Thankyou for giving to this very important cause
