HOPE Human Development & Welfare Association (Hope- HDWA) a charity working in deprived areas of Pakistan to combat the effects of poverty: to promote and provide education, health and the wellbeing of children and families. HOPE was officially established and registered in Scotland this year, having been registered in Pakistan in 2006.
Over 8.9 million people throughout Pakistan are suffering the devastating aftermath of the recent natural disasters. Flooding has rendered many people homeless and has caused loss of many lives. They have no means with which to feed themselves and too many have no roof over their head. They are in desperate need of any kind of support we can offer to them.
HOPE’s trustees have personally witnessed the cruel situation these families are subjected to. Understanding the severity of poverty there, we address the hardships the families face in meeting their basic needs for their children and family. Those who have lost their homes and livelihood can ill afford even basic education for their children. HOPE is currently supporting St Anthony’s School to provide education for such children from just £25 for a whole year. However, St. Anthony’s School is presently running in a family house of seven rooms and has 450 students – it is hugely overcrowded and lacks essential facilities.
We are seeking charitable donations from corporate donors to allow us to raise funds towards providing a suitable education and school environment for St. Anthony’s pupils. Your contribution will help provide tuition fees for students, to provide books, stationery, uniforms and will importantly go towards renovation/new school building of the school building. Please visit our web site www.hope-hdwa.co.uk to find further information about what we are doing. Your support in this regard will be highly appreciated.
We humbly request help from your prestigious organisation/company to support our project.
