Airborne Delivery Wing
Airborne Delivery Wing (ADW) are based at Royal Air Force Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, and are responsible for the delivery of military parachuting to all UK airborne forces. ADW comprises of Parachute Jumping Instructors (PJIs), Survival Equipment Specalists and other support personnel who deliver static line and free fall parachuting courses and exercises, both in the UK and overseas, for personnel across all three services.
Our fundraising page has been set up to raise money for our selected charities through the various events that we undertake throughout the year. All donations are greatfully received and make a real difference to the worthy causes that we support.
A large amount of our fundraising efforts go towards the amazing charities that have supported one of our colleagues, Corporal Rob Bugden. Rob sustained life changing injuries during a parachuting accident in January 2016, and various charities have worked with Rob and his family to assist in his recovery. As a keen sportsman, Rob wanted to set up a rugby 7s team within ADW prior to his accident; in-line with his wishes, Rob's friends and colleagues from ADW have since set up the 'Horus 7s' rugby team. Rob is the Team's biggest supporter, and he can be found supporting the Team at the majority of their competitions. As well as taking part in various competitions throughout the UK and overseas, the Horus 7s donate any funds they raise to the charities of Rob's choice.
